Solid Gold is a great DJ, they have great deals and nice incentives when you book with them. The owner is great very helpful. The only thing that could have been better was the ablilty to find a song that if they didnt have on itunes then and there when people request some, but other than that great service!!!! Chris with Solid Gold DJ was hands down an amazing DJ. He was soooo entertaining for our guests. We had only 45 people at our wedding however, it was quite a mixed age group with many guests who didn't know eachother (people from all over the country). We were a little nervous and expected no dancing. He had us ALL up and out of their seat, interacting and laughing. He actually got up on a chair at one point in time to lead a dance. Prior to the event, I corresponded with the owner who was by far one of the most professional, kind, and responsive vendors we'd had. Great service all around. I'd suggest being flexible and letting your DJ tell you what songs will get your crowd going.

Jerry was a fantastic DJ! I come from a family that has high standards and Jerry fulfilled them all. He made me feel so excited before my wedding, and was very professional. Jerry totally set the tone to the wedding reception! He got the crowd involved and made the night a blast! Jerry is definitely the DJ to choose for any event! He is quick to adapt to any random changes you want, and is willing to do whatever it takes to make his customers happy. Thanks again Jerry!!!

We really enjoyed working with Jerry from A Solid Gold Sound. From our very first meeting with him we knew he was the right DJ for us. He had a lot of experience under his belt and knew how to get the guest up and out of their chairs. A Solid Golds prices were also very reasonable and we really thought we got more bang for our buck for sure! We would definitely recommend Jerry as well as A Solid Gold Sound to anyone looking to work with a great DJ (who might I add does not force cheesy dances like the chicken dance)!

Jerry was great! From beginning to end, he went the extra mile to make sure our wedding turned out perfect. He was on time and kept things moving along in an organized and timely fashion. Jerry was wonderful. He & Chris stayed in constant comunication, about all the details from everything to the order of events to finding particular songs & general questions. He came dressed very nice & was very professional. There was lots of danceing & good music :) As for pricing for his services, was very reasonable.

We used Jerry from a Solid Gold Sound for our wedding. He was great. He provided us with a song book and questionnaire a few months before the wedding, which was extremely helpful. During the reception he had a lot of the songs I reqested and even allowed us to pick the mother/son song at the last minute. He provided a good mix to keep the dance floor packed and accommodated any of our last minute schedule changes. I would definitely recommend him!

Jerry was the DJ for our wedding reception a couple of weeks ago. We booked him last minute and he was so flexible w/ our last minute changes. He worked so well w/in our budget and made everything perfeect for us. We've received nothing but great compliments from all of our guests about what a great time they had at our reception. The music was just what we wanted and Jerry's involvement was perfect. All of our personalities came out perfectly and meshed even better. I had a wonderful time with my dj! I have read past reviews and I cant believe it. The owner Im sure has had to have replaced the people whom were preforming badly in the past. My dj, chris, was wonderful, he called me a week before the wedding and then 2 days prior. Luckily he did because I had changed a few things that he needed to know. I didnt have to worry about calling him and digging the ph# out of my piles of papers from other vendors. he came up with great ideas I didnt have and kept my reception going great. I had lots of compliments on him after the reception. He was very creative and people loved him. I would surely recommend this company for future friends or family members parties! The price was also great. It seemed as I got many discounts for having a august wedding. They were the cheapest I found and I definialty dont regret choosing them. Thanks Jerry!

We could not have been happier with the service we got from A Solid Gold Sound. It was unbelievable. Our DJ, Jerry, was absolutely wonderful and extremely helpful. We met with him twice and was always available through email or the phone if we had any changes in songs we wanted to make or any requests. He was even willing to help us set up our own equipment for a slideshow and then play it for us which was very helpful. I cannot tell you how completely satisfied we were with the DJ. He made our wedding reception unforgettable, the two of us had a wonderful time. We both agreed that everything was perfect and wouldn't have had it any other way. The DJ kept the reception moving along but never once stole the spotlight from us. He encouraged participation and dancing and kept everyone involved. We were so thankful that he kept the attention and focus on the two of us but was also able to entertain everyone else. He announced when each reception event (i.e. cake cutting, first dance, etc) was happening in a professional way so that everyone invited wouldn't miss out. He was defiantely affordable and the service was worht more than double what we paid. I can't imagine than anyone offering over twice what we booked A Solid Gold Sound for could provide any better service or quality of work. I highly reccomend A Solid Gold Sound and am so thankful that they were available to do our wedding. Thanks Jerry! We loved it!

This was the most professional, flexible DJ service I have ever had. They were extrememly responsive...Jerry called me and made sure I had eveything and sent me out the package for me to fill out what I needed to and what ever I couldn't fill out when I sent it back...he called and we went over the entire thing over the phone. He came out and met with me and my fiance at a flexible location for both of us. Shortly after the selected DJ called me to touch base and check on everythng and make sure everything was on target and if there was anything I needed. Gave me his # ect.... Every single person that attended our reception mentioned how much they really enjoyed our DJ and how he kept everyone involved and everything moving. Also we needed music for our wedding at the chapel and Jerry very kindly put together a CD, twice, for us (since I accidentally lost the 1st one). I would highly recommen this DJ service to anyone!!!!!

Jerry & A Solid Gold Sound are excellent!! We first met Jerry when he performed my brother's wedding & it was great. I knew right away I wanted to ask him to DJ my wedding:) Jerry is very professional & the reception music was exactly what we had asked for! He followed our outline perfectly & kept things moving smoothly. He was very flexible, we had not yet greeted all of our guest, so he just kept playing music & told us to let him know when we were ready to move on :) I would highly recommend Jerry & A Solid Gold Sound. They were recommended by another vendor of mine and I was happy with them for the most part. The price was great and when speaking with Jerry on the phone I had to greatest of confidence. The ceremony sound was perfect! During the reception the DJ kept things moving and did the introductions well. Music choice was good. A few bad things. 1. The DJ answered his cell phone LOUDLY in the middle of my father's speech! How rude. 2. I was asked to fill out a comment card in the middle of getting other things in order for the end of the night. As the bride I was a little busy and didn't really write anything. Bad timing to ask...

A Solid Gold Sound were very friendly and our DJ Mark was awesome. You talk to at least 3 people by the time your event comes around just so that they know exactly what you want. They were awesome!!!

I had booked a DJ with this company a few months before the date (we had a short engagement). We met with the owner of the company and he was very nice. He said he specifically picked a DJ that he felt would do a wonderful job. He seemed as if he had a lot of experience and we were very excited and happy with this meeting. The week before the wedding, we were told that our DJ could not make it because he had something come up where he works and that another DJ was chosen for us. We were a little skeptical, but we had all ready paid a deposit and didn't have time to find a new DJ on our own time. Needless to say, the week before was CRAZY busy with so many out of town guests coming in. I talked to our new DJ over the phone the day before the wedding while I was getting my nails done. The reception was a DISASTER. I wanted to cry, but tried to keep a tough face. For our first dance, he seemed confused and it took a second for him to realize what was happening. For the anniversary dance, he did it BACKWARDS and there was a minute (which feels like a lifetime when you're on a dance floor) where he stopped playing music all together (I just laughed and told all of the guests to keep dancing and pretend there was music). For the money dance, he stopped playing music while there were still guests in line waiting to dance with us. For the garter toss, he only announced "taking off the garter" and was going to stop after that. My brother-in-law had to go up to him to tell him that we wanted to "toss" the garter too. EVERYTHING else was perfect, except the music at the reception. I am still so bummed when I think back to it and I really feel that a DJ should be one of the best parts of your reception since he really has the power to make it enjoyable or not... and this was not enjoyable.

Very professional and friendly. We decided almost immediately that we wanted to use them as our wedding DJ. Our DJ was on time for the event and knew exactly how to work the crowd and what sort of music would be best for the crowd at our wedding. We were very pleased with A Solid Gold Sound!

We booked this DJ for our reception, they came by way of referral from a co-worker who has used them before. They were very pleasant to work with, they were more affordable then any of the other DJ's we looked into. They played all of the songs that we requested(some of them weren't even on their list). They would have gotten a perfect review, but the DJ did on multiple occasions call me Rick instead of Rich. This didn't bother me too much, and I think the DJ did a wonderful job and had a fun personality for our crowd.
