Butterfly Petals

I would recommend Butterfly Petals to any bride who hopes to have the most gorgeous, unique bouquets and arrangements. We got married on Cinco de Mayo and chose to use this theme on our wedding day. Mandi, the owner, not only thought of beautiful ways to use vintage glassware with the combination of desert and bright florals, she also found ways to save money by using tissue paper flowers in our bridemaids bouquets and at our cocktail hour combined with flowers in vintage mexican cans. Butterfly Petals is a professional, innovative florist, and I am sad the wedding is over- I would love to work with them again!

Amanda can take any idea you have for flowers/centerpieces and create something far beyond what you were imagining! We had a "subtle" science theme for our wedding and Amanda was able to blend test tubes and flasks into our centerpieces in such creative and pretty ways! She also put together a wonderful memorial arrangement for my Mom, made with white carnations like my Mom had in her wedding bouquet. She was able to work within our budget and offered great suggestions for minimizing cost but still having what we wanted. I was so delighted when I walked into the reception hall for the first time and saw what she had put together, all the emails we exchanged and talks we had were brought to life! Our bouquets held up wonderfully in what turned out to be the hottest day of 2012 so far! The colors she used and different textured flowers made for eye catching bouquets, they were all beautiful! The groom's boutonniere didn't last the whole night but he was doing a lot of hugging :) Thank you so much Amanda! We couldn't have asked for anything...

Amanda is a great florist with some of the most creative designs I’ve seen. I think she is amazingly talented and loves that she uses Pinterest to help organize inspiration photos with her clients. She is very easy to work and responds quickly to email and phone messages. However, to be entirely honest, I was a little disappointed in the end result of my floral order. I only used Butterfly Petals for bouquets, boutonnieres and corsages. And although, I liked my Bridal Bouquet, I felt like the bridesmaids’ bouquets were too heavily filled with greenery and overshadowed the “pop” of pink I was hoping for. This could have been a miscommunication on my part so I do not hold Butterfly Petals entirely responsible for this. But my second issue with the order was I thought all the flowers used were in poor-health…in fact my mom’s first reaction to the flowers was that she thought they were left by a wedding party who used the venue the night before. So, we weren’t too happy about that. But overall, I thought Amanda/Butterfly Petals did a great job working within our budget to provide flowers for the wedding party.

Amanda from Butterfly Petals was exactly what we were looking for in a florist! She was professional and prepared with ideas and inspiration each time we met. She got my style immediately and chose the perfect flowers to meet our budget. Thank you Amanda!!!!everything was perfect!

Outstanding job! My flowers were gorgeous and better then I expect. Extremely flexible and easy to work with. Always e-mails back in a timely matter and has a flexible schedule to meet in person if needed. Great value too! I felt that I got the best bang for my buck with Butterfly Petals.

I was referred to Butterfly Petals through a co-worker/ fellow-bride and after looking at the florist's portfolio, I was confident that she was fully capable of creating my ideal bouquet. Little did I know that my confidence would be shattered and that my ideal bouquet would not become a reality. Upon meeting with the florist, Amanda I instantly liked her; she was very friendly, punctual, open minded, quickly responded to my emails and I felt that she understood my vision. I sent her pictures of my dress and of the exact bouquets (mine and my matron of honor's) I wanted for my wedding, with details of what type of flowers, what types of feathers, and how I wanted them arranged. I decided to keep the boutonnieres simple (only using feathers) so that the main cost of the flowers would be solely for the two bouquets and I felt that the amount I was charged was high, but I assumed that it was because my bouquet would be so grand. When Amanda arrived with the bouquets, they were smaller than I had hoped for. The flowers were very healthy, but the feathers were not the type of feather I wanted and when I asked Amanda if she used the type of roses I wanted (black baccara), she responded with, "well, they are a different version of black baccara". When I asked about the feathers, she replied, "I ordered the right ones, but that's how they arrived." I am not one to hide my emotion so I know she could tell from my reaction and expression that I was not happy. Amanda decided to rush to Walmart to see if she could find the feathers I wanted and while she was out, my matron of honor called her and said that the bouquet was not what I wanted and Amanda brought back red roses (which I distinctively told her I did not want because they were too bright for the rest of the wedding's theme). When Amanda returned she mentioned that I still had my toss bouquet (which I specifically told her during the consultation that I did not need because I did want to toss a bouquet). When I returned from my honeymoon, my mom showed several pictures from the wedding of which tables, that were already decorated with a specific type of flower (black magic roses neatly arranged in a small vase) were impaired by scattered white rose petals. My mom called Amanda to ask if she knew where the rose petals came from and Amanda said that after I told her I didn't want a toss bouquet, she didn't want the flowers to go to waste so she took it upon herself to decorate the wishing tree table and the top tier of the cupcake stand. I had specific visions of what I wanted for each table and I gave these specific instructions to our wedding coordinator who decorated everything perfectly and beautifully, so I was very sad to see her work and my ideas damaged by someone else's urge to take their own creative initiative. I don't understand why the flowers from the toss bouquet were not simply added to the existing bouquets. All in all, I was disappointed in the service provided by Butterfly Petals and I will not recommend them in the future.

I used Butterfly Petals for my wedding bouquets, corsages and boutonnieres. My bridal bouquet was absolutely beautiful! During my meeting with Amanda, she went through many pictures of other bouquets to get a feel for what I liked and my style. She nailed it!

Are you looking for Beautiful and creative flowers? Look no more .. Amanda from Butterfly Petals is Amazing! Your in good hands with her! She is great with communication and if given a little creative freedom she will make your wedding look Unbelievable! She did mine and I'm so happy I used her! Definately recommend Butterfly Petals!

Our flowers were absolutely wonderful!!!! I couldn't have imagined going with any other florist. Words can not explain how awesome our bouquets looked!

Amanda and her husband did an excellent job on our floral arrangements. They did the centerpieces for the reception and the ceremony decor as well. Very beautiful. And very competitively prices. My bouquet lasted for nearly two weeks after the wedding. Highly recommended.

Amanda was able to do everything that I wanted and more AND still fit within our budget! She is absolutely AMAZING! The flowers turned out BEAUTIFUL! The centerpieces were FANTASTIC! I would tell every bride-to-be I could to not even bother looking around becuase Amanda (Butterfly Petals) is the one you want for flowers!

I am not one to write negative reviews, but I felt like wedding wire is why I choose Butterfly Petals to do my flowers and I wish maybe if there were more reviews on here I would have been more educated. First and foremost Amanda is very nice. But I feel like when we met for our first and only meeting everything that I had wanted was done opposite. I specifically stressed the importance of size and being able to distinguish between mine and my bridesmaid bouquets. Let’s just say there was no difference. I had asked for corsages for the MOB and grandmothers and received pin corsages. I was left without a throw bouquet, ended up using one of the bridesmaids. There were no flowers on the cake, when I saw the cake I asked my wedding planner and she said that none were left. The groomsmen boutonnieres were falling apart within the first few hours. I could go on, basically if you do not care what your flowers look like and want a decent price Butterfly Petals is perfect. Also I stress the importance of meeting with vendors more than once, I had asked her if we needed to meet again, but she did not think it was necessary.

First and foremost, I know nothing about flowers. I did meet with other florists, but they didn't seem to work with me as well as Amanda. When I met with Amanda I just showed her some pictures and explained what my style was and what I was looking for. She did an amazing job putting together the perfect bouquet for my wedding. The variations of pinks along with the gems was exactly what I was looking for. We only met once and she used her creativity to create a beautiful, inexpensive bouquet. Since the venue was breathtaking, we didn't really need any flowers besides the bouquet, aisle petals, and a few chair flowers. I really appreciated the fact that she drove all the way out to our venue, for free, to deliver everything when she probably had customers who were spending a lot more money that she needed to focus on! I LOVE Amanda. I had a destination wedding in Arizona and Amanda exceeded our expectations. Her flowers were gorgeous and exactly what I wanted. Our head table looked like it was out of a magazine. Amanda found perfect candelabras and everyone at our wedding was amazed at how beautiful the reception was (because of the flowers). Best of all, Amanda did all of this for half the price of what other florists quoted. The week before the wedding reception, Amanda agreed to make candle votive placement cards. Everyone loved them! I simply could not say enough positive things about Amanda.

Our ceremony and reception flowers turned out fantastic. Amanda was so helpful with selecting the flowers that I wanted and really wanted us to be happy with what we were getting. She was so great with adding some last minute items too. We held on to my bouquet as long as possible at home in water and were so sad to see it go. Everything was gorgeous. Thanks so much!

I honestly can not say a single negative thing about Butterfly Petals. With Amanda's enthusiasm and creativity, I was able to have my dream wedding that stayed in my budget. She took my completely disjointed ideas and worked with me to find a cohesive, unique, rustic look that was popping with texture. From the wedding bouquets to the boutonnieres, to the centerpieces, she made it all look gorgeous. With her help, I was able to turn a brick patio into something truly special. Her patience and professionalism were outstanding and I couldn't have planned my wedding with out her!

Amanda worked in my budget and I LOVED my bouquet. She also delivered the flowers to two separate locations for me and created an additional corsage at the last minute without charging me, which was much appreciated. However, most of the groomsmen's boutinnieres had fallen off within an hour into wearing them, so I'm not sure what the problem was there. Additionally, looking at the photos, I realize that there was supposed to be red roses on the top of my cake, and there was nothing -- just a bare cake. I'm not sure who was responsible for that, though, the florist, the baker, or the venue staff. However, the bouquets seemed to hold up beautifully, and she was willing to come pick up the vases we had rented back in Fountain Hills, which is kind of a drive for most people.
